Toque Knitting

Today I have been busy as a bumble bee knitting. I am knitting more toques to get to my goal of completing 100 toques. Starting on Sunday evening I won't be able to knit for five weeks as I am taking a French program so I only have from today Monday to Saturday to knit and hopefully complete a few more toques. When I am finished my toque knitting I will post more photos. All of the toques I am knitting will be given away to people in need. I knit because the Lord is calling me to knit for others. It also feels good to help out others. Well I finished knitting one toque this morning. Now I am working on a second toque. Here is an update. I have 12 toques for children completed. I am now working on knitting toques number 13 and 14. Once I am finished the two new toques I will have 89 toques completed.  Well I finished the two new toques so now I have 89 toques completed. I am now working on another child's toque and this new child's toque will become toque number 90. Then I will have ten more toques to complete in either knitting or crochet to complete my goal of 100. Well I have another update. I have now knitted 90 toques. I am now sewing the toques together. Then I will snap some photos and post them on my blog for all of you to enjoy. After that I have to crochet and knit the final 10 toques.

Aujourd'hui, j'ai été occupé comme un bourdon de tricotage. Je suis à tricoter plus tuques pour arriver à mon objectif de terminer les 100 tuques. Départ le dimanche soir je ne serai pas capable de tricoter pendant cinq semaines que je prends un programme Français, donc j'ai seulement a partir d'aujourd'hui lundi au samedi à tricoter et j'espère que toutes les toques plus quelques. Lorsque j'ai terminé mon tricot toque je vais poster plus de photos. Tous les tuques que je suis tricot seront attribué aux personnes dans le besoin. J'ai tricoter parce que le Seigneur m'appelle à tricoter pour les autres. Il se sent aussi bien aider les autres. Eh bien, j'ai terminé une toque à tricoter ce matin. Maintenant, je travaille sur une deuxième toque. Voici une mise à jour. J'ai 12 toques pour enfants terminés. Je travaille actuellement sur le tricot nombre de toques 13 et 14. Une fois que j'ai terminé les deux toques nouvelles j'aurai 89 tuques terminés. Eh bien, j'ai terminé les deux toques nouvelles alors maintenant j'ai 89 tuques terminés. Je suis maintenant travailler sur la toque d'un autre enfant et toque de ce nouvel enfant deviendra numéro 90 de la tuque. Ensuite, je vais avoir dix toques de plus pour terminer en tricot ou au crochet pour compléter mon objectif de 100. Eh bien, j'ai une autre mise à jour. J'ai tricoté maintenant 90 tuques. Je suis maintenant coudre les tuques ensemble. Alors je vais prendre quelques photos et les poster sur mon blog pour vous de profiter de tous. Après cela, je dois au crochet et tricot les 10 tuques finales.



Spool Knitting

Another textiles activity that I enjoy is Spool Knitting. Another name for Spool Knitting is French Knitting. I haven't created anything from spool knitting yet but I enjoy how the yarn looks as it comes out of the spool knitter. if I had my spool knitter with me when I was first diagnosed with having tendonitis I feel that I could have turned to spool knitting as therapy while not being able to knit. I am knitting again now but still don't want to do a ton of knitting as I feel I still need to give the tendons in my arms time to heal. And I also know the healing will take a while and be a slow process. Will post photos of my spool knitters shortly.



Quilting

I don't just knit and crochet. I also enjoy sewing. Now Quilting involves sewing. I would also call myself a quilter. This past week I have been busy working on a quilt and I finally finished my quilt on Friday June 26, 2015. The finished quilt is my second finished quilt. I will post photos of both of my quilts. I hope that you enjoy looking at the photos. I am hoping to sew up more quilts. I really enjoy the process of quilting and find quilting to be very rewarding, fun and exciting.

This is my first quilt. I completed this quilt in a quilting course I took in 2008.

 

This is my second completed quilt that I finished on Friday June 26, 2015. My next step will be to do some hand sewing around the edges of the quilt and getting rid of threads.

First of all I would like to wish all the fathers around the world a Happy Father's Day. Second of all I want to wish everyone around the world a Happy First Day of Summer. Since today is the first day of Summer that means today is the longest day of the year. Now on to some knitting news. I have started knitting a new sock and I am working on knitting a cardigan. Will post pics later of my knitting so far.

So I started knitting a new sock yesterday on four double pointed needles. The sock is coming along. I thought I would post a photo so that you can all see the sock so far. Once the sock is finished I will post a photo of the sock with its pair.

 

Update: Well I finally finished the sock today. So that makes three pairs of socks that I have completed knitting so far. Now I just have to snap some photos and then I will post the photos for all of you to see.  Okay well here are four photos for you to enjoy of my newest socks.

I finished my first pair of knitted socks yesterday which I was extremely excited about. I snapped some photographs of me wearing the socks as I want to show them off to all of my viewers. I will probably donate them to the local homeless shelter as I want to use my skills to help those in need. I am now working on my second pair of knitted socks. Once the socks are finished I will post photos for all of you to see.

 

 

Well I finished knitting my second pair of socks. Now I another sock to knit and once the third sock is knitted I will have completed knitting my third pair of socks. Here are some photos for you to see of my second pair of hand knit socks using four double pointed needles.
